Raccoon is bored. The only solution: bake an apple pie! But Raccoon has no eggs… He walks to Fox, because Fox has chickens. Fox is doing some work and needs a ladder. Raccoon thinks they can borrow one from Badger. When they get there, Badger is busy working on a crossword puzzle. He is stuck. Maybe Bear can help? And if Bear is not home, Crow can show them the way.

In a heartwarming way, Philip Waechter writes about five friends who are always there for each other. They spontaneously spend a wonderful day together, fishing, swimming, picnicking, repairing a roof and, of course, baking apple pies!
