August does not like surprises. Suus loves running, jumping, and doing wild things, while August prefers reading, lounging, and making beautiful things. August's imagination gets the better of him. He imagines the most terrible situations in which Suus could surprise him. But reality turns out differently…

And just when you think the story is over, Miriam Bos knows how to add one last twist. Miriam Bos draws and paints a colorful forest that makes you want to wander around in it yourself. Every spread looks like a poster. The colors burst from the pages, just like the friendship between August and Suus. And one thing is clear: Suus knows August better than he thinks. A surprising picture book debut.
