Silverette® Original Silver Nipple Covers – SMALL

The original Silverette® nipple covers were developed for the care and protection of sensitive nipples during the breastfeeding period. Silverette® was developed in 2002 after years of research in collaboration with mothers, midwives, neonatologists, and gynecologists, among others. This resulted in a patented, rounded design that follows the natural shape of the nipple and can be worn comfortably under a bra.

The nipple covers are manufactured in Italy by certified silversmiths and are made of 925 sterling silver. Silver naturally has antibacterial and antifungal properties. By wearing the covers directly on the skin, they can help care for and protect the nipple area. Silverette® is used without nipple balm or cream and is fully reusable. The covers can be worn for sensitive nipples, but also preventively between feedings.

Use

After breastfeeding, place a few drops of breast milk in each Silverette® cover. Then place the covers directly over the nipples and wear them under the bra between feedings.

Remove the Silverette® nipple covers before breastfeeding again. Rinse the nipples with water if necessary. Do not use nipple balm, cream, or any other nipple treatment under the covers, as this reduces direct contact between the silver and the skin.

Care

Clean the Silverette® nipple covers daily with lukewarm water to remove breast milk residue, then dry them thoroughly. Over time, the silver may become darker or duller. This is a natural oxidation process and does not affect the use of the nipple covers. To remove discoloration, the covers can be cleaned with a paste of baking soda and a few drops of water. Then rinse them thoroughly with water and dry them thoroughly.
